STUDIO CHRISTMAS PARTY THIS SUNDAY DECEMBER 4

The list of foods being brought to the party sound wonderful.  Party is at The Studio at 1pm.  Lunch will be followed by chat...fun...and a Show & Tell of finished and unfinished projects from 2011.  The last  rounds of the two Art Quilt Challenges for 2011 will be on display.  The complementary colours of orange and blue quilts are just making my heart sing as their owners deliver them.

I wonder who the lucky 6 winners of the Gift Vouchers totalling $204 will be!  Maybe you?  Hope to see you there.

Huge mountain climbed by Jean

Some projects are easy to do.  Some projects we begin and then find we're not enjoying the process.  The Friendship quilt project 2009 was one of those projects for Jean.  She picked fabrics she loved and embarked on the project with many other girls but about half way through, she decided it just wasn't fun anymore.  She threw it in the cupboard!  Can anyone relate to that?!  She moaned about it occasionally to friends but it stayed in the cupboard.  She gave away the remainder of the fabrics.  She wasn't going to finish it.  All the other other girls in the Friendship project completed their projects with some amazing results.  2012...Jean decided that maybe she could do something with it.  I am so proud of her.  She got it out and completed the quilt top but wouldn't show it to anyone.  She really doesn't like it.  This week, she brought it to class...QUILTED.  And the quilting is beautiful.  All she needs to do now is bind it.  She has climbed a BIG mountain.  Many of her class friends wanted to take it off her hands but Jean is going to gift it to her mum for Christmas...lucky mum.  Well done Jean!

Studio Christmas Party Sunday December 4

It's that busy time of the year again, so I'm getting in early.
Our Studio Christmas Party will be Sunday December 4 at 1pm
We'll have lunch together & then a huge Show & Tell of finished projects, partly finished projects & just on the way projects.  So many of the things we make are for loved ones & we give them away as soon as they're finished and they're just not there for the Show & Tell.  So let's show them to everyone as they're being made.  Details a little closer to the date.
